Check your keyboard shortcuts under System Preferences.
I had the same problem, Banshee had taken the pride of using the combination
CTRL+F to advance to the next track. After disabling the shortcut. everything
went back to normal.

While doing daily work on my desktop, the theme suddenly changes into another
one (ugly theme).
This mostly occures while running amarok 1.4 in gnome. (qt3/4 conflict maybe?)
I'm able to fix it temporarily by opening change desktop background, it
automatically changes back
