Title:
Unity Ubuntu 3D 12.04LTS doesn't work on HP DV6458se Nvidia go 6150
It was fixed with newer Ubuntu 12.04LTS 64bit distributions.
Never a good idea to upgrade early, always better to wait for at least 6
months until
several bug reports are filed and fixed ;-)
Thanks for fixing that.

It happens the same thing as with others here, Update Manager just fails to
install and ask to send error report,
click OK, and it brings me here. My instalation was clean 12.04 LTS 64bits,
8GB RAM, ATI Radeon Pro.
Any solution in the horizon ?
** Affects: ubuntu
Public bug reported:
I'm using a clean install of Ubuntu 12.04 LTS 64bits, downloaded on April
30/2012,
on HP Pavilion DV6458se laptop with NVIDIA Go 6150, 8GB RAM 800MHz, HD160GB.
Drivers I tryed are : the default (Nvidia current) and the the other
Nvidia option in the Drivers aplication.
Hi Jeremy,
thanks for the tips, I did as you recommended and downloaded the latest CD ISO
images for the i386 alternate install,
it went very well and did work fine except for the Broadcom network that was
not recognized during install.
I noticed that's its already part of the 10.10
** Changed in: linux-rt (Ubuntu)
Status: New = Fix Released

Desktop is an ACER ASPIRE intel Q6600 quad core with ATI Radeon HD 2600
working very well with Ubuntu 9.10 64bits original fresh install fully
updated.
I updated online from 9.10 64bits to 10.04 LTS 64bits it all went fine
until I tried to install the ATI proprietary driver
Public bug reported:
Ubuntu 10.04 LTS 64bits gives a black white screen with vertical stripes,
like blinders,
and doesn't install on my HP Pavillion DV6000 laptop, AMD Turion 64 X2 TL-62
2.1GHz, Nvidia 6150Go.
I've been using 8.04, 8.10 and 9.04 all 32bits on the same laptop with no
problems
Switching to the Classic theme seems to have solved the problem. (Though
I like the new Ubuntu theme better ;) )
