This is my last remaining gripe with unity 3D. Default icons in the
Launcher, Dash and Desktop are too big for a regular Desktop/Notebook.
Dash needs a configuration tool for icon, text and screen sizes.
Transparency control is also a big problem Dash is unusable with most
desktop backgrounds.
I find Dash impossible to read in many situations (Ubuntu 12.04),
especially with the Applications lens. Also, I would love to have
control over the size of the Dash screen and icons.

This feature request was forgotten? I find Dash impossible to read in

I have an old USB-1 hub by Linksys and plugged the mouse through it. It
works every time.

Even supposedly 3-button mice need the emulation. The typical generic
ones detect the middle mouse by a click on the scroll wheel. Usually
this is very clumsy, making the emulation much easier to use.

Thanks for the instructions on using apport. Maybe I misunderstood part
the process, but Kate (and other KDE apps) don't seem to trigger the
apport service. Instead the KDE Crash Handler pops up. Oddly,
following the instructions ( Install Debug Symbols) causes another

I have a similar problem.
I just installed 9.10 from scratch in a system using a wifi adaptor
Atheros AR5001X+ (AR2414 chipset). Ubuntu 9.10 automatically assigns to
it the ath5k driver. With 9.04 this combination was problematic
resulting in frequent crashes solved when I switched to the madwifi

HAs a problem with some bank applets. Apparently this was fixed in
Version 1.5 which is scheduled for Ubuntu 9.10. A back port is needed
for 9.04 AMD64. Icedtea is the only available java plugin
