full-disc encryption enabled results in the error message insufficient
space on /boot to perform upgrades. However, the command-line utilities
successfully perform the required upgrades

message worked. This time it didn't until I manually removed some old
kernals, presumably freeing up space on the boot partition.

I also continue to see this issue in 12.04. Like @ender46 I have my
proxy set up in Network Settings, apt.conf and /etc/wgetrc and also as
an environment variable for root. Despite this, when flashplugin-
installer and ttf-mscorefonts-installer try to download files the
downloads time out.

Luke makes a good point. I would go even further and suggest that
unmount should not be available anywhere in Nautilus, but that
advanced users should go to Palimpsest or the terminal to unmount.
