Open a Terminal (Ctrl+Alt+T)
enter this on terminal:
cd Downloads/
sudo dpkg -i bcmwl-kernel-source_6.30.223.271+bdcom-0ubuntu7_amd64.deb
Worked for me.
I now have 2 wifi trays in the upper corner lmao.. not sure why
