I forgot to say this issue seems to be present even of a 9.04 with custom kernel 2.6.30 compiled with Kernelcheck using the same configuration of kernel 2.6.28. Same behavior.Perhaps a kernel setting? I can't reproduce it because I completely removed Ubuntu 9.04 now. Need space on my 8GB SSD.
