I thought the whole point of an LTS release is that nothing major breaks?
Really disappointing to do an apt-get update and break my laptop :(
I have a GeForce 310M and this is the only supported driver.
What is the likelihood that the patch from comment #2 will make it into the
mainstream patch cy
Any ETA on a fix? This is preventing me from upgrading to 16.04.
I'm happy to try any patches that need testing.

Toggling full screen mod

To reproduce on 16.04:
- Start a normal terminal
- Press F11 for fullscreen mode
- Press F11 again
The terminal window will be maximized instead of returning to it's original
small size.
This is really quite inconvenient, as I use this feature all the time on
14.04.

Will this be fixed in 12.04 because it's an LTS, or will we have to switch to
12.10 when it comes out?

I'm using 12.04 (beta2) and I get a kernel panic (flashing Caps + Scroll lock)
after about 20mins of use if I activate the fancy non-open source nVidia driver.
