Many Norwegian translations lost

The language packs not working: 1:7.10+20080229 (language-pack-gnome-nn)

This is an issue with Norwegian Nynorsk as well. Many translations that
have always been in place, are lost after upgrades the last few days.
This applies to several programs, including basic Gnome functionality.

This _might_ be related to bug no. 11561,

same problem with the cpu always being full-on. This is because of a
problem with evms.
sudo aptitude remove evms
in a terminal solved the problem for me.
In a terminal, type
dmesg
