I still having this issue, I'm trying to use
apt-get install -f
apt-get autoremove
apt-get update
apt-get upgrade
But I've got this message:
invoke-rc.d: initscript hal, action "restart" failed
dpkg: error processing xserver-xorg (--configure):
subprocess post-installation script returned error
