Here Ubuntu is using 3 partitions: swap, root and home. The last two are using ext3 v1.0. I haven't modified Transmission's settings and things downloaded by it (seem to) go straight into my home folder. If this is relevant: on the same HDD I have a few other partitions with a recovery utility,

I'm not sure how relevant this info is, but the torrent I'm trying to download has 4 files, from which the largest one is a 4.4gb mkv file. I have had downloads from 13mb to 630mb being downloaded without problem, but haven't tried anything bigger yet. The only tracker available is tracker.openbitt
