Still crashing on Unity 3.6.8-0ubuntu3 with Compiz

application, it doesn't matter if its a terminal window, firefox or

This just happened to me on a VM of Lucid and also on a 64bit install of
Lucid on a Mac Mini.
On the Mac Mini the crash notifier popped up when I opened up a terminal
and did a sudo apt-get update and on the VM it popped up shortly after
logging in.

Since the last Alpha release, every time I change the screen resolution
to anything other than 800x600, the screen resolution applet reports
that the refresh rate is 0Hz. When I click on Apply it does go to the
screen resolution that I have selected, but upon reboot it default

I am also getting the Kernel Panic screen with Intrepid Alpha 3 on
virtual box 1.6.2 and also 1.6.4. Hosts is Vista Ultimate with SP1. The
VT-x/AMD-V option has never been enabled on these VM's.
Hardware spec of PC is AMD64 X2 4400+ with 2GB of RAM.

Sorry I should have added that I have used both Windows XP Pro, Vista
Home Premium, Vista Ultimate and Ubuntu Hardy Heron 8.04.1 as hosts for
the VM with the same results in all of them with both VMWare Workstation
6 and Virtual Box 1.62, so I can't see it being a VMWare bug.

I can also confirm that this is still happening for me when using VMWare
Workstation v6 and Virtual Box 1.62. After I enter my username and
password Intrepid hangs with the speaker making a noise. This is
happening with both Alpha 1 and 2. The only way I could find a
