I learnt how to mount an usb-key and also to handle an us keyboard from
the command line, and so I can attach the apt-term.log.
Is there any chance to recover the installation for me? Or should I post
a question on the "Answers" forum? Thank you for helping.

As I suspected it became impossible to boot on Ubuntu after this
installation bug. I tried all versions but I am unable to boot even with
recovery mode, 18.04 and 16.04 as well.
I write this comment using an old "Windows 7" (first login on this dual-
boot in years)! If you ask me to attach a log,

I don't think that the bug bug 1401055 is similar to mine. I carefully
searched my log file but did not find any of the keywords that were
present in this bug report.

Thanks for the bug fix. Problem solved for me too, on Ubuntu 14.04.4
LTS.
After several days of manual "advanced" reboot, the problem disappeared
simply upgrading with this command:
sudo apt-get install network-manager
... which upgraded to this version:
network-manager 0.9.8.8-0ubuntu7
