the patch in #13 working flawlessly. Disks are no longer synced every

I believe so. I hit the same issue and the details are below. I've tried
it with updated kernel (3.13.0-44-generic) on Ubuntu Server 14.04. Also
disabling gro,tso, it didn't make any change.
ICMP packets are OK but there are a lot of TCP retransmissions.

I had been using xmonad ever since i installed Ubuntu 11.10, so I never
noticed this bug before. Now that I decided to try Unity, this is the
first thing I noticed. This is actually intolerable. It simply is not
possible to tell which window is focused unless you keep it in your
memory all the time
