it has something to do with the usb-serial and pl2303 driver. the kernel
bug appears once in a while. it happanes more when i pull out the usb-
serial. especially if the serial port is open, but it can also happen
without me doing anything.

after upgrading to jaunty, all my startup scripts that used screen via
'screen -d -m /some/script' stopped working.
this is probably due to new version of screen assuming it runs
interactivly and askes the user to supply a profile.
although i run
just to say that i temporary resolved the problem by:
sudo mv /usr/lib/swfdec-mozilla/libswfdecmozilla.so
/usr/lib/swfdec-mozilla/libswfdecmozilla.so.disbaled
( you may or may not need to reinstall flashplugin-nonfree)
and restarted firefox.

reinstalling didn't help me either.
it seems that firefox now has 2 flash plugins (that is what i see when i look
for installed plugins), one is from swfdec-mozilla and the other from
flashplugin-nonfree. i can disable them but not remove them from FF.
disabling the first in firefox disabled fla
either spectemu does not support zip files, or has a bug in the unzip
machanism.
unzippping the tape files solved the problem.
spectemu should fix the unzip bug, or report that zip files are not supported.
currently it seems to do somthing in the middle (gives a feeling that tape
works but from

loading tape files (tried with both tap and tzx files) seems to start
from the middle of the cassete, so game can not be loaded ok.
tap/txz downloaded from worlofspectrum, original manicminer game.
both tape files worked with another emulator, so they are ok.
