I was also finally able to get an Apple "Magic Mouse" to work using the
command line hack mentioned by the reporter, with Ubuntu 14.04. It's
working on a Mac Mini, incidentally, which finally has a decent OS on
it.

problems I have with 14.04 and dual monitor support, and that my two

One other thing--I think Compiz tends to crash every night, because in
the morning I find whatever windows I left open scattered around my
first workspace. Perhaps this could be reproduced by launching the
Software updater and then crashing Compiz? Or running 'compiz

I am experiencing this too but I have some further insight into the
problem:
As mentioned, gnome-font-viewer fails to install a font if it is already
installed. But it ONLY fails if the filename is the same.
In fact, the application fails to install if you try to install ANY font

Please forgive my lack of an edited summary, and the fact that I copied-
and-pasted a description!
It was the only thing I could do to ensure a bug was filed before
killing my machine with the power switch.
Also same problem on 12.04 beta 2 -- but it worked on a second try. I am
now looking at my FB feed via Gwibber.
