I am still experiencing this annoying bug in 64-bit Lucid.
My workaround is to remove the XFCE menu button from the panel and then
add it back again to restore the Other sub-menu.

I'm using XFCE as DE in Ubuntu Lucid. This laptop uses an ATI Radeon

After I wake up my laptop, the display will show up corrupt or garbled.
As a workaround, I need to open the

I found a notebook I named with a character that the file system can't
decode. Renaming it to something else, and re-indexing solve the
problem.

Hi. I recently distro-upgraded my Karmic to Lucid.
Zim Desktop appears to be working fine, I can open my notes and access
my stuff but I just discovered that neither Search function doesn't
work.
I don't see any error messages, the dialog box appear
I tried the PPA route without reading the rest of the post. Now, it did
fixed the original Thunar selection problem but it left my XFCE deskotp
in a less than desirable state.
Could anyone please tell me how to restore my system back before I added these

I have the same issue. I'm using the XFCE desktop installed over Ubuntu
9.04.
This a major security issue for many of us who prefer to put their
computers on hibernate instead of shutting down. Anyone can access the
contents of the computer after resuming from hibernate or suspend.

You're correct, Turion is the mobile 64-bit proc of AMD.
I've tried looking for a setting to disable cool n quiet in the BIOS of
the MSI s270. No such setting available.
