I did a reboot now without the spare (i did all this because i had a
remote server without grub ;) ) and after the reboot from kernel 2.6 to
kernel 3.2 adding the spare worked for some reason.

I still have troubles here. I found out something interesting: I used
zero-superblock with --force on the disk and the partition, and i used
dd to zero over the end of the partition and disks.
It works now, but when i add the spare-drive to the RAID i get the error:

I tried to upgrade a server, and i was left with a broken grub2. I think
it has to do something with LVM/RAID.
My setup: /root lies on LVM which is on a Raid5. There's not separate
boot partition.

By googling for a few hours, i can't reproduce my query though. Maybe
one should mention that since i don't want to rebuild my entire raid,
apparently it's ok for mdadm if you fail a disk, shrink the partition a
bit and re-add it. Apparently there's margin for error, at least mdadm
doesn't
It's not a dupe, but I got this fdisk-solution from the last comment of
#569900
I opened bug #605720 for what I think is the root cause of this problem. I
don't know how the installer does partitioning but it exhibits the same
behavior.

I solved the problem, it has two related bug reports here, but I can't
find them anymore.
The problem was that apparently fdisk has a bug, which lets it create
partitions which are 1 cylinder larger than the disk.
If you install raid on such a system anything could happen. The raid will not

I have TBird 2.0.0.8 installed, I just thought it was 2.0.0.6 because the
aboutpage says that.
I have contact with the developer of the extension who just released 0.3.0
which features Auto-Update and doesn't need any additional extensions
any more. Unfortunately it crashes for me, I already

Ok, sorry, I just figured out I made a mistake:
Reply-To-List works, but only when you have configured thunderbird to show
_all_ headers.
When you select normal headers, the button get's greyed out, cause the
extension doesn't find the List-Post header anymore.
Apparently Thunderbird makes only
* Install the following gstreamer-10-plugins (some of them in multiverse and
universe): base, good, bad, bad-multiverse, ugly, ugly-multiverse, ffmpeg
* Do NOT install any gstreamer-0.8 packages
* insert a CD and open soundjuicer
* create/select a pipeline like this:
this bug should have all necessary information. if not describe what
exactly you need.

had in GNOME and the mousecursor are still displayed, but nothing else. I can

starts and everything works fine. When I use the shutdown menu in Gnome,

status of this bug is? I think thousands of users would be _very_ glad
