package libatk-adaptor-schemas (not installed) failed to
install/upgrade: trying to overwrite
actually the upgrade did not complete (uname reported oneiric kernel),
the desktop had so many errors is was not functional at all. i had to
install gnome-desktop then unity. I have upgraded again and finally it
is 3.2... kernel

the mouse working, the only key combination that seems to work is Ctrl-Alt-Del.

After upgrading from 9.10 alpha5 to alpha6 and now beta, the problems persists:
running sudo nvidia-settings or sudo gedit /etc/X11/xorg.conf shows that the
resolution should be 1360x768 (after saving it using one way or the other) but

Hello Again,
I am really new about Ubuntu. I have solved my problem today, it was a simple
fix. It is working in all my machines (1 Ubuntu 8.04 server, 3 Ubuntu 8.04, 1
Ubuntu 7.10 and a Laptop 8.04). All of them finally working. This what I did:
I realized that right clicking on the NM applet

It works, black listing nv is the trick, after so many tries... I got
compizfusion working (and the noisy fan silenced...)
