Is this set up on purpose to make GNU-Linux in general, and Gnome in
particular, sociologically dysfunctional as to make Windows look better
by comparison? And, yes, I _DO_ believe that this belongs in a technical
discussion in a bug-tracking system.

Same problem on 2 PC's, I have the same dynamics but
- no Matrox, I have an Nvidia binary on one and a generic FLOSS driver on the
