I am affected by this too. I found the following in my dmesg when my
computer woke with the external monitor plugged in:

Adding multiple locations and disconnecting from the internet seems to produce
this error reliably.

I too is affected by this. On ubuntuforums some people have been debugging it:

It seems that myspell-en-za is the culprit. I've removed the package and
haven't seen the problem since.
