Tried the 3D desktop again after using Ubintu 2D for a couple weeks,
when this bug got the"Fix released"-status. It hasn't crashed yet, but
something has changed, because now the graphics response is really slow,
windows lag while moving them, and even typing is slow. The computer is
not overheatin
I would like to add that it this hasn't happened once since I switched
to Unity 2D last week (see #18).
I agree with those who find it remarkable that the Ubuntu developers
with their usually prompt bugfixes can leave a bug like this unassigned

Same problem here, freezes about once every work day, which is rather
alarming. Mouse moves and music keeps playing. I can Ctrl+Alt+F1 into
the console, but if i try to go back without restarting anything, it
will lock down completely, with a hard reset left as the only option.

For me, everything (including visual effects and awn) seems to work, but it
