Used the "compress" function from the context menu of the Nautilus
browser. When an attempt is made to select a compression type, part of
the dialog is obscured...had to guess at it, to get the job done.

I have multiple NAS drives on my network, all of which should be
appearing in the "Windows Network" folder of Nautilus. An Arp scan
shows the drives are there, but Nautilus no longer sees them. No custom

Disk one, Seagate barracuda 500 gig - ext4 - sda3 on /
Disk two, Samsung spinpoint 500 gig - ext4 - sdb1 on /home
I tried booting into the recovery mode with the shell and networking.
After a few seconds nothing, no jdb2. No disk

Hi there,
After reading up more on the bug in google I found this link
http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=75612 . After attempting the
hwcrypto=0 option i noticed that it did help a little bit, but it did
not fully fix the problem. I was still getting disconnected.
When I originally
I just tested this with the live desktop cd for 9.04 on an IBM T43 (
same wifi card ) and I am seeing the same problem. After using 9.04 for
a little more than a day now this problem is getting increasingly
frustrating and is happening more frequent.

Hi,
I just updated from 8.10 to 9.04 beta and I am seeing ipw2200: Firmware
error detected. Restarting. in dmesg.
My wireless card under 8.10 would constantly drop out and disconnect me
from my 802.11 b/g/n WPA2 encrypted network. I have two laptops (
Thinkpad x40 x41 )

I am also seeing this bug in Hardy. I have a fresh install ( xen guest
from a hardy bootstrap ). I goto install, it asks me for my mysql root
password. I give it a password and then it fails.

network interface did not have an IP address assigned to it, hence mysql
had nothing to bind to.
