Too bad there isn't more feedback on this one. I'm suffering the same
bug, Rhythmbox seeming to be the only troublemaker. Strangely, Rhythmbox
*sometimes* appears on the predestined workspace (x=2,y=2), but most of
the time it does not.

PUT plugin can't move window to next monitor when placed with CTRL
Additional Information:
When a window is unchanged in size (= as it opened), Ctrl+Alt+z is working just
fine. But if the same window was being moved around by any of the
Ctrl+Alt+Numpad combinations, no keyboard shortcut based movement to another
screen is working. It's simply jumping back to it
I second this.
When using the Ctrl+Alt+z combination to move a window from one monitor to the
other, it simply jumps back onto its former position.

Ok, I did it by checking the update log /var/log/apt/term.log and forced
the old versions off all the updated packages in synpatic (F3 -> force
version). After downgrading, I locked them to stop them from being
updated again in the future.
Quite some tedious work!

Edward, somehow I must have missed your very long post adressing me, so sorry

Alright, thank you Edward and Shayne for your time and sorry for posting

Hey Edward! No problem, you did the right thing. If I had found this bug
