Well, yesterday the system installed a bunch of updates and now the
upgrade is working (downloading packages right now :) Don't really know
what was wrong but it's fixed now.

I'm having this same issue, except uninstalling xserver-xorg-video-nouveau
didn't help...
I attach the /var/log/dist-upgrade/ logs

'plasma-netbook' is not installed in my system Only
'libplasmagenericshell4' is installed (whatever that is)
I have several external repositories instilled (ie: burg, docky,
qbittorrent, google, dropbox, medibuntu, jdownloader, etc..), maybe
those have something to do with this issue?
