MacBook 1,1 has substantially different hardware than a 5,2. Testing on
a 1,1 is unlikely to reproduce the behavior, due to different trackpad
hardware being involved.

I can confirm that #25 does not work on a fresh Karmic 64-bit install
for me. I hear clicks ('jack noise' as described) but no actual audio.

This bug originally exhibited itself as: Macbook Pro 5,2 trackpad
spurious input, jumps to horizontal screen edges
While typing the mouse occasionally jumps horizontally to the edge of
the screen. It is not consistent which edge it jumps to. I notice this
due to xmouse.

Default install of 9.10 produces no audio support at all for a Macbook
5,2. Updating community help page to reflect that.

I added a sensor->meaning mapping to the 5,2 ubuntu Karmic page. My
confidence in it's accuracy is low.
Experimentation on OSX shows that the temperature gets above 90 with no
changes in fan temperature. I don't know if this means everything is
WAD or what.

Fan isn't working correctly on Mac
I am currently experiencing this same issue, which I don't believe is a
valid legit behavior. Additionally, the temperature sensors need a
translation table to identify what the various 'temp1' sensors
correspond to.
Is there a better bug to be tracking to cover this issue?

Also its not necessary to restart your computer to see your changes.
Simply logging out and then back in restarts the X server.
