Yeah, one of the main themes of bug 1462839 is to handle missing
resources. The Crux is to find a sweet spot between loading "missing"
contexts and skipping "mostly ok" ones.
I hope someone will tackle that soon since it hinders us.

This bug comes up after login with gdm into gnome. Than the display will
be black and wont change.
A temporary solution for this is to switch between the terminal and the normal
interface with shortcuts(STRG+ALT+F1 & STRG+ALT+F7).

In Gutsy, the presentation fullscreen mode of kpdf does not work when
compiz is enabled. Namely, instead of a fullscreen presentation you get
only a new window displaying the contents of the pdf, which can not be
turned to fullscreen easily.
