When i open the trash window (via the gnome-panel applet or the link in
nautilus) the Empty Trash button is greyed out, even though there are
items in the trash.

I would like to see the packages merged in software center, even if you
keep them separate in synaptic. Or at least make it so that if you
install AWN-Manager you have to install AWN as a dependancy; AWN Manager
doesn't work without AWN installed.
I don't really get what the difference between
I just noticed in your comment there is a dependency from AWN to AWN-
Manager, but i think the dependency needs to reciprocated; i can
currently install awn-manager without installing awn, causing awn-
manager to throw an error when i try and open it.

Well see that's what i thought. But according to the software-center
guys it's not their problem. I think it's due to the fact that software
center tries to be add/remove and synaptic in one. So basically awn-
manager needs to be removed from software-center. Isn't this a packaging
problem again
Can we get the opinion of someone on the software-center project as to
why this problem is happening, if the dependencies are indeed correct as
Julien has said?

I just just downloaded the Karmic alpha 5 today (desktop cd) to do some testing
and to see if i could help find bugs. I booted to the livecd version of Ubuntu
inside virtualbox (running on my current Jaunty install). Once the system had

This has happened to me twice in the last 2 days now, although i'm still
not sure if the two occurrences are actually related.
yesterday when i plugged in a USB flash disk the whole computer

Using Ubuntu 9.10 Jaunty with F-Spot 0.5.0.3
I was editing a large collection of photos (around 900 odd) when i found
that as i edited photos, each edit would cause more and more memory to
be used by F-Spot. Eventually it got up to about 4GB and
Confirming this is still an issue in jaunty.
1. Edited proxy settings.
2. Used Apply System-Wide button
3. Synaptic, Add/Remove and Update Manager all still use the previous proxy
settings.
Restarting does solve the problem, it just defeats the point of having
the ability to apply the settings
