as of Artful Aardvark a new package named kdevelop-python provides Python 3
support: https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kdevelop-python. I doubt that
there still is a Python 2 package (kdev-python is now a dummy package requiring
kdevelop-python), but it is safe to close this wishlist item
Still affects shorewall 5.0.4-1 on Ubuntu server 16.04. Besides the
already mentioned workaround, (temporarily) using to ufw for firewall
management is an option.

This ppa contains a series packages for Kubuntu including kdev-python.
However, according to the author (Sven Brauch), kdev-python has a
compile-time switch to choose between supporting python2 or python3.
Unfortunately, there is no package of kdev-python that includes the
bui
