Binary package hint: usb-creator
When using the source of usb-creater from the trunk repository, I tried to
install the application using the setup.py, but those files were not copied
during the installation (I had to copy them manually):

In the first source package uploaded there were missing intltool files. It's
fixed now, you just have to download the source package again from
http://debcreator.cmsoft.net/files/0.3.9.4/debcreator-0.3.9.4.tar.gz
PS: you should contact the author of the amd64 binary package if you
have problems

I confirm, here in Gutsy, gedit fails to save existing file when the
share is mounted with cifs, but works fine when the same share is
mounted with smbfs.
geany work with both (smbfs and cifs)
Note: creating a file over cifs with gedit works fine. It's just the edition
that cause problem.
Note²:
I have checked adduser and useradd commands too, and I think it should
have the same default shell in both.
It's weird to have different values.
By the way, to reply to unggnu, the default is set to /bin/sh because
this should be just a link to the default shell used on the system. It
was ok then

rt61 driver which seems to be both incompatible (see the link in the

Yep, I reported this bug some time ago while beta testing feisty before
the release.
You can just remove the rt61 module and that's it. If you try with rmmod
or modprobe -r you will get errors with both.

Yep, I reported this bug some time ago while beta testing feisty before
the release.
You can just remove the rt61 module and that's it. If you try with rmmod
or modprobe -r you will get errors with both.

Ok so this is caused by the combination of an SMP enabled kernel and the
rt61 driver which seems to be both incompatible (see the link in the
previous post).
