I'm dual booting Fedora 17b and 12.04 and both exhibit the same problem on my
1201N machine.
Back when it was still Fedora 16 (before the upgrade), suspend worked just fine
under 3.1 but began failing consistently once 3.2 was pushed.
Most likely this bug (?) was introduced by upstream 3.2 relea
I can confirm that Maarten's patch is working as advertised.
