I can reproduce this on my system (as above Ubuntu 22.04.3 LTS). But the
kernel module is loaded in my case, so this seems to be only a warning.

I also have the same issue using 18.04 (clean install) 4.15.0-22-generic, with
the following graphics using Nvidia 390

I confirm also that with above versions installed, Ctrl+Alt+F2 and
sleep.d fixes don't work. And my windows now have fuzzy rainbows around
them, which I guess is an improvement :-)

I've not been able to make a successful call yet. When I launch Ekiga, I
can make a call to the echo test, I can hear the incoming voice, but I
can't record my own. I then hang up and Ekiga hangs. However, I see that
if I try recording something with Sound Recorder I get a similar
situation (it

Went to a page with some embedded sound clips. FF asked me to choose a
plugin to install. Chose default, installed packages (mplayer etc.).
Still asked me to install plugins, so I closed FF (with option to save
session), waited for a bit, opened it again only to be told FF was
already running. Had
I confirm that I have exactly this problem with Firefox (I'm not running
Thunderbird) using fully-updated fresh install of Ubuntu Gutsy 7.10 with
SCIM and Anthy. If Firefox spawns a new window (eg About... or Tools

Here's my experience. Launching desktop-effects from the command line
cures the problem for me.
1. When enabling desktop-effects from System Preferences, I got no
decorations.
2. I installed gnome-compiz-manager, still no decorations.
3. I uninstalled everything compiz-related (but not XGL)
I'm getting it once every three or four reboots now I think.

OK I got this too. See attached crash log, which (I think) was generated
using the Mono debugger for Beagle. Let's hope this help somebody out
