I can confirm this bug on ubuntu 9.10, linux 2.6.31. I was copying a
10GB file from ext3 to ntfs, and after only 1GB the transfer speed
decreased a lot and the cpu usage is 100%. this problem happens often
when writing file to ntfs

today I had the same problem. i checked in about:config
dom.ipc.plugins.enabled, and it was already false. then i tried setting
___dom.ipc.plugins.enabled.libflashplayer.so to false, and now seems to
work. seems that a lot of people today had this problem with the namoroka
nightly builds ,
