This affects me too, and setting QT_ACCESSIBILITY to 0 also works around
the problem for me.

I am seeing this issue too, on two different laptops. One is a
HP-Mini-210-1100, the other a old black MacBook. On both, everything is fine
if I downgrade to 5.100.82.38 using
sudo apt-get install bcmwl-kernel-source=5.100.82.38+bdcom-0ubuntu6
With bcmwl-kernel-source=6.20.155.1+bdcom-0ubun
Indeed, everything works fine if I stick to GMT. I had forgotten I had
changed that option.
With the patch, I now find no problem with the localtime option. The time
control works as expected now, no 100% CPU issues. I tried the patch on
both the 1.3 source and the svn head, and it worked fi

Sure, here it is attached. I also found out some more. If I take ISS out
of the satellites list in "Configure", then the 100% CPU does NOT happen.
If ISS is reenabled, the 100% happens.
Please note: In the

problem still happens after removing it. The list of satellites being
displayed is just AO-27, AO-51, AO-7, FO-29, ISS, and VO-52. My elements
are up-to-date as of 2011-05-28 23:28 GMT.

If I try to change the day or slide the slider in the time control, gpredict
stops responding and uses 100% of CPU.
Also (and this may be unrelated?) the Time Controller dialog shows the wrong
icon for the "Play Backwards" button.
