I added a xorg.conf and changed to Driver "libinput"
With libinput the mouse pointer is moving in all directions.

Same behaviour with kernel v3.15-rc2-trusty. PC hangs during boot
mostly. It seems after power off for long time first boot succeeeds.
Shutdown is not switching off the PC.

I have same issue. I tried with several kernel parameters (nomodeset or
acpi=force, boot=...) but nothing helps. Ubuntu boots irregularly. After
switching off the Hardware for more than 30 minutes the first boot seems to be
fine.
A BIOS Update to F.06 doesn't change anything for me.
