Ubuntu is not really Debian based, most Raring packages are way ahead of even Debian Experimental. Ubuntu uses deb packaging and the basic Debian system layout but has long since ceased to be just a repackaged Debian. I am currently installing Squeeze and will upgrade to Sid. I will test and repor
