I haven't been able to connect to a WPA2 network for at least two years
on multiple laptops, although it has always worked with NetworkManager
and Gnome.  I'm not sure whether the reason is that the PEAP auth
methods aren't correctly sent (as the title of this bug report says),
but all the bugs I can find about the networkmanager plasmoid not
connected to WPA enterprise are marked as duplicates of this one, and
the problem is defnitely *not* resolved.
