Never mind, the same behaviour happens after updating to squid3 (from repo) and squidGuard 1.4 (from PPA). It seems the documentation is rather sparse for squidGuard.conf where rewrite rules and acls are concerned. What Doesn't Work: stacking rewrite rules within an acl, multiple rewrite
