This is a graphical bug that happens in the standard theme in Ubuntu and
Empathy. When you open the contact list and hover with your mouse over a
contact a small preview window opens with additional information from
the contact. However the text is white on a gray background,

The bugg is reproducible, or I loged out and back again and I get the
same problem. I have also attached a screenshot of what the problem can
look like. When I change view with the bar at the top of gwibber then it
renders correct again.
