1. Create installation USB with Unetbootin.
2. Copy /EFI/BOOT/grubx64.efi to /EFI/BOOT/mmx64.efi
3. Boot with UEFI and install...

This happening to me in 18.04 Bionic: the icons disappear after lock/sleep and
do not appear on login.
Restarting with Alt+F2 + r makes them reappear.

- Ubuntu 10.04 (i386) - CUPS 1.4.3
- Ubuntu 11.04 (i386) - CUPS 1.4.6
- Ubuntu 11.10 (i386) - CUPS 1.5.0
The color bug is present:
- Ubuntu 12.04 (i386) - CUPS 1.5.3
- Ubuntu 12.10b1 (i386) - CUPS 1.6.1
