I'm sorry this takes a while. It usually happens after a few days after a
reboot and I've been having some suspent issues forcing me to reboot quite
often. I'll post back as soon as it happens again.

After running for a while and a couple of suspends it seems like battery
life is worse with this kernel. When idle (and not touching the
touchpad) powertop reports a quite high wakeup rate.

This is the output from xinput --list on ubuntu 12.04, so I'm pretty
sure it's synaptics. It was also marketed as one of the improvements of
this version of the xps 13.

Synaptics touchpad is not recognized by xinput. It's found as DLL060A:00
06CB:2734.
The synclient command also gives the error message: Couldn't find synaptics
properties. No synaptics driver loaded?

[Dell XPS 13 9333] Touchpad not detected
To manage
I was able to start both kernels with 12.04. I could also start todays
daily image (20140318) from a live-usb. So I guess it's resolved for
now. I'll check out images reguraly until release in case it would break
again.

I've attached a picture of the log as described in the link you gave me.
Regarding installing the newer kernel on my installed system: It should
be easily reversible if it doesn't work, right? As I use this computer
daily, I don't want to break my current install. Ubuntu 12.04 was pre-
installed
This happens during boot, so I can not access the terminal to provide
logs

I'm getting a kernel panic when I try to boot the latest daily image. It
did work a couple of days ago(can't remember exact date, but I would
guess 9th or 10th of March). I've tried booting it as UEFI and legacy
mode, with the same result. I attached an image of the error.
