I'm using a "Natty"-based system with Linux 3.5.1.
I was previously using Linux 3.4.7 without issues. To get HD videos to
play smoothly, all I had to do was add Option "AccelMethod" "uxa" to the

Here are the steps I took to create an xorg.conf file (I did not have
one) and then add the option to it.
1. Stop gdm:
sudo service gdm stop
2. Log in at command prompt.
3. Enter the /etc/X11 directory:
cd /etc/X11
And here's one last one showing corruption on the uppercase letter E,
and also the lowercase letter d in the small font above, where it says
"xserver-org-video-intel"

downgrade back to 20080317+git20080318-1ubuntu4 to get it to work again.
With the update, when I resumed my laptop from suspend, the system came
back up, but the laptop screen didn't.

I've found that I can change the volume with the keyboard shortcuts
sound is playing. When nothing is going through the sound board, I can
only change the volume by adjusting the PCM settings using alsamixer.
The Master volume controls do nothing for me.
