With the update, when I resumed my laptop from suspend, the system came
back up, but the laptop screen didn't.

changed the Sound Preferences and Volume Applet settings to make my
media keys and the volume applet both control PCM instead of Master
Volume.

After upgrading to 7.04, I've been getting crashes with Firefox every
time I view videos on YouTube. The crash occurs sometimes when I try to
close a tab while a flash video is playing, and also sometimes when I
click on a link to view a different video. When I click on a link, the
browser becomes

I've found that I can change the volume with the keyboard shortcuts
sound is playing. When nothing is going through the sound board, I can
only change the volume by adjusting the PCM settings using alsamixer.
The Master volume controls do nothing for me.

responds to keystrokes, and it moves to the right as text is entered,
but the text is not visible.

I have the same problem with Gutsy. The problem persists with Hardy
Heron Alpha 3.

I have the same problem with my Intel audio device. As a workaround, I
changed the Sound Preferences and Volume Applet settings to make my
media keys and the volume applet both control PCM instead of Master
Volume.
$ lspci -n | grep `lspci | grep -i audio| awk '{print $1}'`
00:1b.0 0403: 8086:27d
I've had the same problem ever since I started using beryl. I now use
compiz and the problem persists.
