this happened onlyh when you upgrade from one version to other version
from karmic to lucid but recently i update from lucid from maverick and
all my torrent are in health status i think this problem was solved

Use the following command to add PPA
sudo add-apt-repository ppa:nvidia-vdpau/ppa
Update source list
sudo apt-get update
system- administration - update manager and install the new version
result : the same problem

i also test that, but when i login with the new kernel i don't have
graphic interface, maybe because i obtanin (bad exit status: 6)
instalation failed, when the new kernel it was configuring nvidia
drivers :
1) sudo apt-get remove linux-image-2.6.31-14-generic
2) sudo rm -rf
i resolved the problem :
sudo aptitude reinstall nvidia-185-kernel-source nvidia-185-libvdpau
nvidia-185-modaliases nvidia-glx-185
after that :
sudo aptitude reinstall linux-image-2.6.31-14-generic linux-
headers-2.6.31-14 linux-headers-2.6.31-14-generic
after that there are some problem with
i dont' have install eclipse in my computer and i want to install via
synaptic and i obtain this error

this process work for me
first delete ~/.cache/tracker
go to system - preference - search and index and open
click on apply and accept
if and window open saying 'do you wnat to index' click yes
and the message desapeer

hxplay.bin crashed with SIGSEGV in
well you are right julien for some reason in the update process the
avant-window-navigator add a extra launch in system - preference -
startup aplicacions i delete that extra launch and all fine so i have a
question why don't say awn is already started..
now you can close the issue
