First I opened Subtitleeditor with no subs or video.
Then I opened subtitle file and everything went nicely.
Then I opened video file and program crashed.

This morning I was able to log in without need to kill gsettings
-process. I rebooted and tried again, but it got stuck so I needed to
kill it that time.

I have NFS mount. On my computer this also takes forever, preventing for
example desktop (and other nautilus instances) from loading. Also gvfsd-
burn and gvfsd-computer take forever.

When I try to login with my newly upgraded Ubuntu 12.04 (development
branch), nothing happens. It just shows the same empty background that
LightDm has.

I got this problem too.
Pulseaudio hasn't give any advantages for me. The only difference I can
see is that now there is completely useless process at the background
that takes 10% of my CPU time even when I try to disable it everywhere.
Pulseaudio, KDE4, etc.. When will it end? When Ubuntu stops
I had this same problem but with my NFS based /home. This problem
appeared today after I upgraded some packages. Now I mount /home
manually and everything works fine except that mounting home manually
sucks donkey balls.

I don't think PCI-devices or X.org configuration has anything to do with
this, since it fails anyway if users does not have package "patch" and
has recommended packages turned off. But here is my PCI-devices anyway.

Yeah that package might be in recommended ones, but some of users turn
recommended packages off. For example I have done that from options of
Aptitude. If some package cannot be used without another one, then it
should be more than just a recommendation.
