I seem to have the same issue here on an AMD64 Dualcore 6000+ with
Ubuntu 8.04.1
I just inserted a CD, it tells me that I can help making the database
large and upload the info, which I wanted to do and then it tells me,
that it can't send it. - No clear error message so that I can't
understand an

I have an old, but good EIZO F77 CRT Monitor, which has no Problem with
1440x1024 or even some higher resolutions (overscan mode) and acceptable
refresh rates. - My graphic card is an ATI RADEON N300 Chip. It is fast
enough and has enough RAM for even going up to 1600x1200 at
