What I expected to happen:
After pressing the Sleep button on the keyboard to suspend, waiting two minutes
and then pressing the power button to resume, I expected the laptop to return
to the state I was in before I suspended.
What happened instead:

There are 9 hotkeys across top of keyboard, only web, mail and search buttons
work.
If I try and add extra shortcut for say, help, it shows press shortcut key but
does not respond to pressing the hotkey with the '?'

Here's the solution...
Within /etc/X11/xorg.conf change the following line
Virtual 1280 960
to
Virtual 1920 1200
to increase monitor resolution selections offered within the Gnome
Monitor settings.

I also uninstalled and then reinstalled F-Spot to make sure that it
wasn't simply missing a dependency that I had perhaps inadvertently
deleted.

I've been using Dapper on my Thinkpad G41 for a while now without
incident. I had a dual-boot configuration set up and decided with the
summer to get rid of windows and move to Feisty. Now with the increasing
heat outdoors I've begun to notice that my computer is overheating.
I believe this may be due to thread issues with multi-
processor/hyperthreaded machines. I have reproduced errors similar to
this with both types of machines and then disabled all the cpus except
cpu0 (echo 0 >/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu1/online) and the problem
appears to go away. Could others t
