The issue seems to ocurr when Banshee is running, and the initial forum thread
reported KeePass as well. Both are mono-based, so this seems to me that mono
and java are causing this.

when opening menus, if I open File, then Edit, and go back and fourth a
couple of times, I get the same crash. Disabling regex matching fixes
BOTH crashes, so I've always considered them the same one.

an upstream compiz bug.
On Arch, the issue ocurrs whenever a tooltip is displayed, or a menu is opened.
