Same problem with Dell Inspiron.
Kernel 2.6.35-25-generic
# lspci
13:00.0 Ethernet controller: Atheros Communications AR8152 v2.0 Fast Ethernet

I did remove the atl1c module and reload it, but no positive result...
after did that, the eth0 interface dont came back.
# ifconfig -a
I did this procedure http://www.msilva.org/2010/12/como-instalar-placa-
de-rede-atheros.html this morning. Until now, 4h after, my lan card is
working fine.
I didnt reboot my machine to teste, I will post the result later...
