Hi,
I can confirm the same problem installing Kubuntu 24.04 with an AMD
Ryzen 9 6900HX and an AMD Radeon RX 6850M XT.
The only way I could see the login screen was to go into recovery mode,
try some options to see if it did anything and then hit continue to boot
the system.

Hi, have had this same issue with the install procedure for 14.10 64-bit
desktop (daily build 9 Oct 2014) freezing while reformating.
Followed the work around above (ie. reformating via gparted) and the
install procedure has continued.

The Ubuntu daily image from 3 September 2012 (amd64 standard desktop)
installer hangs on the "Choose a picture" screen.
I can take a photo with the webcam and it allows me to choose that photo
