least add a one-line comment in the shell script informing the next people who
need it

The workaround in the original report (which you seem to have missed)
"works" for a while but after getting a list of updates the script
restarts with a hardcoded path, so the workaround needs to be applied to
the copy in the CD-ROM, not just worke
