Hello I have the same problem : Brightness keys (Fn+UP and Fn+Down) do not work in ubuntu 6.10. When I do that, the session is starting again to log in screen. My configuration : Dell Inspiron 9400 with nvidia 7900GS BIOS upgraded from MP061A02 to MP061A04
